Do you bring your own cleaning supplies?


Yes. I bring all of my own all natural cleaning supplies that are earth, pet, and people friendly. I do ask that you provide: 1) a vacuum, 2) a broom and dust pan, and 3) a toilet bowl brush.




Do I need to be home when you come to clean or can I be at work?


It is not necessary to be home during your cleaning. The only time I ask that you be home is for an initial consultation, which takes approximately 15-30 minutes. I like to meet you, hear about your space, and what is most important to you, so I can focus my energies where it matters most to you.




Are you the person that is coming to clean my house?


Yes. When you schedule a routine cleaning service, deep cleaning, or special project with House Cleaning From the Heart, you can be assured that I will always be the one to clean your home or complete your scheduled project.




Do you use any chemicals?


No. I use only cleaning supplies that are all natural and safe for people, pets and the earth. This is both for your benefit as well as my own health and safety.




Do you offer a guarantee on your work?


Yes. I offer a 100% satisfaction guarantee. My desire is to leave you feeling satisfied with the service you have received. If for any reason, you are not completely satisfied, please call me immediately and I will do everything in my power to resolve your concerns.




What is your cleaning experience?


I have been cleaning residential homes for three years with House Cleaning From the Heart. Many happy references are available upon request. Prior to starting my own business, I was the Hospitality Manager for a retreat center in northern Michigan from 2014-2016. During those years, I was trained and became practiced in cleaning efficiently and thoroughly with environmentally friendly products.




Do you do dishes or empty the dishwasher?


Doing the dishes is not part of a routine house cleaning service. If this is something you would like added to your regular service, I'm glad to discuss this during the initial in-home consultation. Emptying the Dishwasher: Out of a desire for you to be able to find your things, I prefer not to empty the dishwasher. This also goes for putting things away. I do general tidying up, but for the most part, I will leave items where they are so you can find them when you need them.




What hours do you work?


I work Monday through Friday from 10:00 am to 4:00pm. I do work from a schedule and recommend the same time and weekday for your cleaning to create consistency and convenience for us both. Flexible scheduling is available when needed, just ask.




What happens if I need to reschedule?


At one point or another - for whatever reason, one of us, you or me is going to need to reschedule our cleaning. Communication is key. Please call or txt as soon as you know there is a conflict and I'll do my best to reschedule your cleaning at the next earliest convenience. I will do the same.




What happens if one of us gets sick?


If you or your children get sick with a contagious illness, please call and reschedule your cleaning. Even though I clean your house, it is possible that I might transport germs to the next house or become sick myself. And to be fair to all of my customers, I prefer to wait until you are well again. On my end, if I become ill, I will cancel or reschedule to protect you and your family.




Is it just you cleaning or will you bring a team of people with you?


I will be the only one coming to clean your home. I am insured as an independent professional house cleaner. I have no employees who will be joining me.




What types of payment do you accept?


I accept cash, check, venmo and cash app. Often clients leave cash or check payment on the kitchen counter and I pick it up after I've finished cleaning. Payment is due at the time of service.




What will you use to clean my hardwood floors?


If you have a particular product you would like me to use on your hardwood floors, I will do so. I know wood is sensitive, expensive and beautiful, and can require special care. I will respect however you prefer me to clean it. If no product is specified, I will sweep and use a professional microfiber mop that pairs with a machine washable, microfiber pad that is safe for dusting and cleaning all floors. Electrostatic action in the microfiber attracts 99% of dirt, microparticles and common household allergens.





 

COVID-19 Precautions: 

Your health and safety is my highest priority during this time. I am currently acting with prudence in my day-to-day operations with preventative safety measures following the guidance set forth by the U.S. Federal Government, Centers for Disease Control (CDC) and other health agencies. When I come into your home, I will be wearing a mask, keeping a distance of at least 6 feet, washing my hands regularly, and I will be thoroughly sanitizing my cleaning supplies in between cleanings.
